AWARDS

SCB Distinguished Service Awards. This year the SCB’s awards committee will be presenting five awards.

Student Award. An award for the best student paper will be presented. Students are asked to indicate on their abstracts if they wish their paper to be considered for this award.

*C-D (Conservation Disc) Award. Help give the acronym C-D a new meaning. At the awards dinner bring along the tape or CD of the song or piece of music you wish to nominate for the most conservation-aware recording of the past century. Be original, don’t all bring Big Yellow Taxi, or Acres of Clams either. And be prepared to stand up and justify your nomination in 10 words or less. The winner, to be judged by a panel of self-confessed ageing hippies, will win a valuable, or at least memorable, prize (and we won’t have to listen to muzac or disco music all night).
