Nominations are being requested for the 1998 Edward T. LaRoe III Memorial Award. This special award of the Society for Conservation Biology honors an individual who has made major contributions translating principles of conservation biology into real-world management. Preference is given to individuals who have spent at least part of their career in government. Past award winners are Reed Noss, Katherine Ralls, and Barry Noon.
