FIELD TRIPS

All the field trips require a minimum number of participants and are subject to cancellation depending upon the registration numbers. Registration is first come, first served, with full payment. If a field trip is cancelled, all registrants will be notified prior to the conference. Applicable refunds will be made after the conference. The UVic Outdoors Club offers camping gear rentals. Availability is limited. Telephone (250) 472-4044 weekdays, 3:30 - 5:30 P.M.

  • Bamfield. 4-6 June, cancelled.
  • View For You. Sold out.
  • Clayoquot Sound. One of the finest opportunities to experience our superb west coast environment in the company of specialist with a great sense of humor.
  • Vancouver Island Marmot. You mean you don't want to get up at 5:00 A.M. to see this endangered animal who resides in the goddess' country?
  • Environment Interpretation Centres. A great way to see southern Vancouver Island and still get that science hit.
  • San Juan Ridge. Go meditatively through wildflowers and old forests to arrive at a healthy feast. Sounds like tough work.
  • Botanical Beach. A gem tucked away where the wild sea contrasts with still tidal pools that are home to various lifeforms.
  • All Sorts of Bugs. You get to visit the renowned Royal BC Museum, then visit a forest pond to check out BC's own unique insects.
  • Birding. Get an early bird start for a diverse morning walkabout to local area parks.
  • Muir Creek.

  • Gulf Island Escape. The "in" trip to take that fits with the "romantic" feel of our islands.
