Book your flight directly to Victoria International Airport, usually through Vancouver or Seattle. The airport is approximately 30 km north of downtown Victoria. Canadian Airlines and their partner American Airlines are the official carriers for the meeting. Special prices have been arranged for delegates. Booking your flights on either airline, particularly before 15 April, renders you eligible for drawings for free trips anywhere in North America. Akal Airport Express Bus-Link will transport SCB conference delegates directly to the University Housing Office for $11.70CDN per person, one way (cash or credit cards). Look for the buses with SCB signage. Taxi cab fare to UVic is approximately $45CDN.
This same bus service will deliver delegates to the airport when they are leaving the University of Victoria (only until 10 June). Delegates wishing this transportation must reserve space a minimum of one day in advance of departure. Sign up for this service at the conference registration desk.
  
The Airport Express Bus-Link services all incoming and outgoing flights and runs between the airport and downtown Victoria hotels at a cost of $13CDN per person, one way. Reservations must be made in advance for return transportation to the Airport. Taxi cab fare is approximately $40CDN and each taxi can accommodate up to five passengers.
  
Delegates who are staying downtown can use Victoria Transit buses to get to the University. The #14 UNIVERSITY Bus can be boarded at McDonald's Restaurant at Douglas and View Streets, or at Fort Street, just east of Douglas Street, in front of the Royal Bank. (sailing time 1 hour, 35 minutes) travel between Tsawwassen (39 km south of Vancouver) and Swartz Bay (32 km north of Victoria). This is the recommended route for travelling to Victoria by car. May and June sailings on the odd hour 7:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. (sailing time 1 hour, 30 minutes) links downtown Victoria with Port Angeles, Washington. It carries cars, but drivers must telephone the day before about parking for the ferry, which is on a first come, first served basis. Three sailings daily.
