Journal Watch Depending on the Enemy Endangered macaws dependent on their worst enemy Pizo, M.A. 2008. Conservation puzzle: Endangered hyacinth macaw depends on its nest predator for reproduction. Biological Conservation 141(3):792-796.
In a bizarre biological twist, a new study in the journal Biological Conservation shows that the hyacinth macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) depends on its greatest predator for survival.
