Introduction

The committee provides assistance to the Board and members of the Society in fund-raising for specific projects as they are identified. The Committee is open to anyone with an interest in, and the time to commit to, proposal writing and project development.

Terms of Reference

The Development Committee works with staff to identify and secure funds needed to achieve the agreed upon annual and strategic goals of the Society.  The Committee reviews and coordinates proposals from Section leadership and decides which proposals should be submitted to funders.  

The committee includes elected Board members and other individuals who may be able to help build relationships and support the fund-raising efforts of the Society.

• Expand current baseline of support while maintaining focus on meeting our current funding objective
• Build a sustainable base of private gift support
• Broaden our level of member participation
• Introduce and strengthen management structures for ongoing fundraising successes
• Enhance our image and the stature of our organization and its programs
